APIOL Process

What is involved?

You complete your application with the help of an APIOL Coach to describe:

  • Your outdoor ‘CV’ - your education, influences and the range of your experience, knowledge and skills.
  • Your career development - where you have come from and where you’re going next.
  • Your critical reflection against the APIOL criteria and witness statements to confirm your practice.
An assessment interview with two external assessors confirms that you can show you meet all the APIOL criteria and have the professional attitude of an APIOL award holder.
