Employers’ Group Aims

  • Promote quality in learning in society as a whole and outdoors in particular
  • Advocate the value and potential of learning outdoors and outside the classroom in the forefront of government policy-makers’ agendas
  • Support a common vision of the Institute and agreed ethics and values within the field in furthering the Institute’s aims and objects
  • Be regularly represented at key forums, as agreed with the Chair of the Institute
  • Share and disseminate best practice in learning outdoors and outside the classroom in the interests of self-development of the sector.
  • Share and disseminate best practice in health, safety and child protection
  • Sustain a thriving and growing network of mutual support, in which issues, problems and new ideas can be safely shared and discussed
  • Collect and disseminate relevant information for the benefit of members of the Group and of the Institute as a whole.
