South West IOL AGM announcement SOON!
The next big event in the region was going to be the AGM on 7th November. For a number of reasons this is being postponed to the spring – exact date to be circulated shortly. But rather than just leave it at that, we are arranging a number of events which will lead up to this. There will be 3 or 4 outdoor skills and experience days set up, a small number of local area pub based meetings, the idea being to meet and talk through the way forward for the region and finally, following a suggestion from a number of members, a meeting of all APIOLs within the region to look at next steps, mentoring and assessing.
I see all of these as a way of generating the impetus to get the region back up to the level of activity that we had just a year ago. If you want to get involved in any way – running a session, being on the group to set up the AGM, just want to pass on an idea - contact me Phil Berry.
There are still a couple of loose ends to tie up so a full programme will be sent around at the end of October.
And to finish on a high note – congratulations to those six members who successfully completed their APIOL in early October – brilliant!
