E111 becomes EHIC

From 1st January 2006, current E111 forms for travel in Europe ceased to be valid; you will then need an EHIC card. These can be applied for online and take about 7 days to arrive. It might be worth applying now to beat the rush before this becomes more common knowledge.

All you need is your name, address, date of birth and National Insurance number.
