OUTDOOR AND ACTIVE LEARNING INSTRUCTOR

Thrybergh is a recently designated Sports College specialising in Outdoor Education or as we prefer Outdoor and Active Learning (OAL). This is an exciting opportunity for someone to develop their own vision for OAL within an extremely strong Sports Faculty.

We are a small school of 600+ and have recent history of dramatically improved standards of achievement and attainment. We are offering our students the opportunity to study a wide range of sport related options including BTEC Outdoor Education.

We wish to appoint an Instructor who will work within the Sports Faculty. The successful candidate should have extensive experience of working with young people and will hold National Governing Body qualifications in a range of activities which will include climbing and canoeing / kayaking. A mini bus driving qualification is preferable and will become essential.

The school is developing new climbing facilities in our Sports Centre and is less than a mile from the LA water sports centre in Thrybergh Country Park and within 30mins of the Peak District.

If you have the drive to be a self starter, the commitment to make a difference with young people and the ability to motivate those around you whilst retaining a strong sense of humour we would like to hear from you.

Salary in the range of £18,000 - £21,000.

A minimum of 37½ hours per week
