Avoid delays - keep your IOL Organisational membership up to date by renewing on time. A delay in renewing will delay the placement of any job adverts that you want to place.

Extra feature for Job Adverts - Organisations advertising jobs on the IOL website are now able to provide more information on a job as to its equivalent level within the IOL accreditation scheme. This will show up on the job advert listing to assist you in attracting the right applicant. This is a free optional service that will guide prospective applicants but will not mean that the job necessarily requires the noted accreditation level.

To include this guidance information all you need to do is specify it in the job advert itself... e.g APIOL Equivalent. Find out about IOL Accreditation Levels.

 How to send your advert....

Send an email with all 6 of the following to Fiona at IOL

  • FIRSTLY .... Please check the details of your job advert VERY carefully prior to submitting it to us. Some changes in a listed job advert might mean taking up further allocation in your free listing allowance for the year.
  • 1. Send the advert un-formatted (e.g no boxes or images or columns) as a Word document or in the body of the email.   We are unable to accept PDFs/JPGs/links to online job adverts or other types of document.
  • 2. Mark your email subject as 'Job Advert'.
  • 3. Quote your membership name and organisation membership number.  See below If you are not an organisation member of IOL.
  • 4. State the SINGLE listing category for each of the job/s which you are advertising: (Management, Instructor/Practitioner, Lecturing/Teaching, Freelance/Seasonal, Volunteer/Training, Overseas, Admin/Sales/Other, Catering/Domestic). In addition to a job being listed in ONE category it will appear in the full job list.

Adverts for Trainee/Apprentice or Volunteer posts 1, 2 or 3 FREE per year for IOL Organisational Members. 1 free per year for non organisational members.

  • 5. You MUST state a Closing Date for applications (with no closing date it will default to one calendar month from submission date). Once an advert has been removed after its closing date a re-listing is considered as a new advert. Job adverts are listed in Closing Date order. We will not be able to list job adverts with a closing date of further than 3 months from listing date. New listed jobs are on a highlighted background.
  • 6. Details of the job (not forgetting to include job title/salary, organisation name, brief job description, location, closing date and contact information/links/how to apply etc.)
  • 7. To specify IOL Accreditation Level equivalent for the job please state "RPIOL Equivalent", "APIOL Equivalent" or LPIOL Equivalent" in your email and in the job advert itself. If this IOL Accreditation is a requirement qualification for the post it is placed entirely free of any usage of your job advert allocation.
  • Logos. If you want to include a logo for your organisation please send this as an attached JPEG file.
  • There is some guidance on writing a job advert here.
Job Adverts for Non IOL Member
If you are not an organisation member of IOL w
e can still place your advert for a fee of £175 - contact Fiona by email to book the job advert and request an invoice, or call 01228 564580 to pay by credit/debit card.

When will your job advert appear on the JobSite?

Job adverts will appear on the JobSite within 2 working days of receipt (Monday-Friday, excluding bank holidays). However, most job adverts are placed on the day of receipt. Occasional circumstances mean that we cannot guarantee to place adverts within this time scale, e.g if we have queries about the job advert. We can pre place adverts to go 'live' on a specific date - please request this when sending your advert.
